Hi Diedre,
I really loved this post and it resonates so well with my thoughts of late! I have "walked out" recently because, in part, I did not feel as though antagonism, arguing and lack of respect were qualities that meshed with my inner core. I have a new home, a new address and a new lease on life because I have decided to challenge these concepts that had taken hold in my household. I refuse to become discouraged about the human condition and I choose to see the glass as half full instead of as half empty!

thanks for sharing your insights on the normalization of revenge violence, especially in movies, books, and TV. It does get discouraging, but I am with you - there is another way, and we will figure it out one day.
